Reese'S Chewy Chocolate Cookies
- 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 2/3 c. (10 oz.) Reese's peanut butter chips
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In a large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
- Stir in peanut butter chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 9 minutes.
- (Do not overbake; cookies will be soft.
- They will puff while baking and flatten when cooling.)
- Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
- Cool completely.
- Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
