Turkey On Broccoli Mornay Recipe
- 8 to 10 lg. broccoli spears
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. scalded lowfat milk (not boiled)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 c. cheddar cheese, grated
- 8 to 9 slices roasted turkey breast
- Bread or possibly cornflake crumbs
- Paprika
- Cook broccoli spears only till tender.
- In small saucepan, heat butter, add in flour, mix, then add in lowfat milk and seasonings.
- Cook till thickened, then add in cheese.
- Stir till cheese is melted.
- Place broccoli in long baking dish.
- Cover with turkey slices, then pour sauce over turkey.
- Sprinkle with crumbs and cheese.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 min.
