Candy Covered Peanut Butter Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350F In ungreased 13x9 in pan, break up cookie dough and press evenly in the bottom of the pan to make a crust.
  2. Bake 12 minutes or until starting to brown.
  3. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  4. In medium bowl, beat 1/2 cup of the butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  5. Spread mixture over crust.
  6. In saucepan, melt chocolate chips and remaining 1/4 cup butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  7. Remove from heat and cool about 10 minutes.
  8. Stir whipping cream into chocolate mixture and mix until well blended.
  9. Sprinkle M&M's on top.
  10. Refrigerate about an hour or until chocolate is set before serving.
