Taco Macaroni
- 2 cups Dry Macaroni Or Small Pasta Of Choice
- 1 pound Ground Beef Of Choice (I Used Sirloin)
- 1 whole Medium To Large Chopped Onion (Depending On Your Taste)
- 1 can Cream Of Chicken Soup
- 1 envelope Taco Seasoning (I Use Taco Bell Taco Seasoning)
- 13 blocks Velveeta (Large Block), Or To Taste
- (The cheese quantity is approximate.
- Use as little or as much as your family prefers.)
- Bring a pot of water to boil and prepare pasta according to package instructions.
- While pasta is cooking, brown the meat and onion together in a large skillet or dutch oven.
- (If using sirloin, you will not need to drain.
- Otherwise, drain the grease.)
- Cut the Velveeta into small cubes while meat is browning and pasta is cooking.
- Once pasta and meat are done, drain pasta and meat.
- Return meat to skillet or dutch oven.
- Add pasta and everything else.
- Heat over low heat to melt cheese.
- Stir often to mix everything well.
- Once cheese is melted, voila!
- Youre done.
- When I first started making dinner, I had no idea what I would be making.
- I was thinking spaghetti, but wanted cheese.
- Then, when my son opened the pantry door and I saw the taco seasoning, I knew what I was going to attempt.
- Gotta love ground beef because you can throw it frozen in the pan and it is just fine.
- Cant do that with most meats.
- (Must confess that I do not like ground beef of any kind.
- I have to disguise it before I can eat it.
- I even put ketchup on my burgers, unless I make them at home and then I can add the disguise of chili sauce and onion soup mix before I cook them.)
- It was great to have no clue and come out with something the kids loved and I enjoyed in under 30 minutes.
