Honey and Sea Salt Plantains Recipe
- Plantains (very ripe - almost black)
- Honey
- Sea Salt
- Olive Oil
- Warm a few tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat - enough to cover the bottom of the pan.
- When the oil is hot, sprinkle in a few pinches of sea salt.
- Cut the plantains about 1/2" thick and place in the oil.
- Add a drop or two of honey to the top of each one.
- Cook over medium heat, flipping a few times until nice and brown.
- Be careful - the honey will carmelize quickly after the first flip.
