Skillet Lunch
- 1 lb cubed lean beef
- flour
- salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup sliced green pepper
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup coarsely chopped onion
- Dredge meat with flour to which salt and pepper have been added.
- Brown in shortening.
- When brown, push meat to one corner and add vegetables, keeping each separate.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and steam over low heat for 30 minutes or until all ingredients are tender.
