Hummus
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped finely
- 1/4 qt. canned chick peas, drained
- 1/8 qt. tahini
- 1/8 qt. lemon juice
- 1/8 qt. vegetable oil
- 1/8 qt. water
- chick-pea liquid
- 1/8 qt. salt
- 1 dash cayenne
- Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Adjust seasonings if necessary.
- Chill and serve with warm pita bread.
