Date Dropped Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. shortening
• 2 c. brown sugar
• 2 Large eggs
• 1/2 c. hot water
• 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 4 c. flour

1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add in Large eggs and beat well.
3. Dissolve soda in hot water and add in to cream mix.
4. Stir in vanilla.
5. Sift in salt and flour.
6. Drop the dough by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet.
7. Make a dent in top on center and fill with tsp.
8. full of filling.
9. Top with tsp.
10. of dough.
11. It does not have to cover completely.
