Angel Hair Pasta With Leek And Garlic Saute, And Myzithra Cheese Recipe
- 1/3 x 8-oz package angel hair pasta cooked preferably a flavored pasta
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 lrg garlic cloves chopped
- 1 x trimmed leek thinly sliced salt pepper lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp. minced fresh cilantro
- 3 Tbsp. grated Myzithra cheese or possibly substitute romano
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom sauce pan large sufficient to toss the pasta.
- Saute/fry the leek with the garlic, a healthy pinch of salt and pepper, and pepper.
- Reduce heat and continue to cook the leek till slightly caramelized.
- Add in the lemon zest and cilantro.
- Toss with the cooked (liquid removed) pasta.
- Serve at once, topped with grated cheese.
- NOTES : Try De Boles Tomato and Pesto semolina angel hair pasta.
