Mozzarella turkey burgers
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup sesame sauce
- 1 low fat mozzarella string cheese,cut info 4 equal oieces
- 4 buns
- 1 lettuce,tomato, pickles (for topping)
- In a small bowl, combine ground turkey and sesame sauce.
- Portion the meat into 4 equal burgers.
- Roll the meat into a ball.
- With your thumb, create a well in the center of the ball.
- Place 1 portion of the cheese into the middle and fold the meat over the top.
- Seal the edges so no cheese is exposed.
- Flatten slightly to for a patty that will fit in a bun.
- Heat a saute pan over medium - high heat.
- Cook the burgers letting them for a crust on bottom.
- Flip and sear the other side.
- Add a lid, reduce heat to medium and let finish cooking (internal temp: 165).
- While burgers are cooking, toast buns and prepare toppings.
