Scalloped Green Peas And Onions Recipe

  1. Heat butter in saucepan over low heat; blend in flour, salts, and pepper.
  2. Add in lowfat milk, stirring constantly.
  3. Cook and stir till sauce is smooth and thickened.
  4. Arrange 1/2 of the peas, onions, and potatoes in a buttered 1 1/2 qt shallow casserole.
  5. Spoon 1/2 the sauce over vegetables, sprinkle 1/2 the cheese over sauce.
  6. Repeat.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees till vegetable are tender, about 1 hour.
  8. Serves 6.
