Barley And Chicken Pilaf Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray Dutch oven.
  3. Add in onion and saute/fry till onion is limp.
  4. Add in chicken breast and cook, stirring, till chicken is no longer pink.
  5. Spray as needed.
  6. Add in garlic, salt, pepper, basil, tarragon, and celery seed.
  7. Cook 1 minute.
  8. Add in barley, spray, and cook, stirring, 2 min.
  9. Add in boiling broth and bay leaf.
  10. Bring to boil, cover, and place in oven.
  11. Bake 30 min.
  12. Add in vegetable, cover, and bake 15 min, or possibly till all liquid has been absorbed.
  13. Remove and throw away bay leaf.
  14. Stir in parsley.
  15. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  16. Serving size: 1/4 recipe.
