Barbequed Spare Ribs Recipe
- 5-7 lbs. country style spare ribs
- 3/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. catsup
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. grated onion
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 4 tbsp. lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- Place ribs, lean side up, in a flat pan.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 30 min.
- Combine remaining ingredients, boil for 5 min.
- Place ribs in a Dutch oven or possibly a large roaster and pour the sauce over the top.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 min longer.
- Baste occasionally.
- Yield: 4 servings.
- (I usually always double the sauce and cook 7 to 9 pounds of meat.)
