Sesame and Miso Tonkatsu Sauce
- 2 1/2 tbsp Miso (I use a cheap miso with dashi from Marukome)
- 50 ml Water (plus dashi stock granules if the miso doesn't have dashi in it)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 Ground sesame seeds
- Bring the mirin to a boil in a frying pan.
- Add the miso, sugar, and dashi stock or water, and simmer over low heat until thickened.
- Throw in the ground sesame seeds and that's it.
