Delicious Chicken Wings with Sweet and Salty Sauce
- 10 Chicken wings - the midsection and tip
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1/2 tbsp Light brown sugar ( sugar )
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
- 1 White sesame seeds
- Wash the wings and wipe off the water.
- Make cuts to underside (opposite side from the skin side).
- Heat a pan with a generous amount of sesame oil and fry from the skin side facing down.
- Don't turn it until it has a golden brown color.
- Turn over when the color is golden brown and cooked through thoroughly.
- Check if it is cooked through or not, peeking in the cuts you made in Step 1.
- When the chicken is cooked through, wipe off the excess oil in the pan with a paper towel.
- Add the seasoning ingredients, soy sauce, sake, mirin and sugar you mixed in advance to the pan and coat the wings well in low heat.
- When the sweet and salty sauce has coated the wings well, then it's done!
- Sprinkle white sesame seeds if you like and enjoy.
