Herb Basted Cornish Hens Recipe
- 2 cornish hens (about 1 1/2 pound each)
- Grnd pepper, optional
- Stuffing, optional
- 2 Packages butter buds
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. dry white wine
- 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 teaspoon tarragon
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Season hens with pepper.
- You may stuff the hens with dressing if you wish.
- In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over hens in roaster.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender.
- Baste occasionally with the sauce.
