Mexican Chocolate Crinkles Recipe
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 egg
- 2 (1 ounce.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. sugar (for dipping)
- Cream together butter, sugar and egg.
- Stir in syrup and chocolate.
- Stir in dry ingredients to make stiff dough.
- Shape dough into balls the size of walnuts and roll into sugar.
- Place on ungreased baking sheet about 3" apart.
- Bake in 350 degree oven about 15 min.
- Cookies will flatten and crinkle.
- Let stand a few min before removing to wire racks.
- Makes 3 dozen.
