Italian Turkey Burgers
- 1 1/4 pounds turkey ground, uncooked
- 1 pint oregano dried
- 1/2 pint basil dried
- 18 pint garlic powder
- 1 pint onion flakes minced
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 can mushrooms, canned
- 1/4 pint thyme dried
- 1/4 pint garlic powder
- 1 pint onion flakes minced
- 1 package beef stock mix
- Preheat to 450F (230C).
- In a large bowl, combine turkey, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and onion flakes.
- Mix well and shape into 8 patties.
- Place patties in a shallow baking pan that has been sprayed with a nonstick cooking spray.
- Bake 15 minutes, until burgers are no longer pink inside, turning once while cooking.
- While burgers are cooking, prepare sauce.
- Combine all sauce ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat until mixture boils.
- Remove from heat.
- Spoon mixture evenly over burgers.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes.
- Spoon sauce over burgers when serving.
