Ham Slices With Spinach Recipe
- 1 pkg. (10 ounce.) frzn minced spinach
- 1 sm. stalk celery, finely minced
- 1 can (4 ounce.) mushroom stems & pcs, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (opt.)
- 2 fully cooked smoked ham slices, 1/2 inch thick (about 1 1/2 lbs.)
- 1 tbsp. butter, melted
- Horseradish Sauce
- Cook spinach as directed on package; drain.
- Cook and stir celery, mushrooms and onion in oil till celery is tender.
- Stir in spinach, salt and pepper.
- Place 1 ham slice in ungreased shallow baking dish making diagonal cuts along hams edges.
- (This keeps meat from curling.)
- Spread ham slice with spinach mix.
- Top with second ham slice making diagonal cuts along the edge.
- Brush second slice with butter.
- Cover and cook in 325 degree oven for 15 min.
- Uncover and cook 15 min longer.
- Serve with Horseradish Sauce.
