Chocolate Philly Fudge
- 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 8 oz. Philadelphia Cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 dash salt
- 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
- Gradually add sugar to cream cheese, mixing well after each addition.
- Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Spread into greased 8-inch square pan.
- Chill serveral hours; cut into squares.
- Granish with additional nuts, if desired.
- Variations: Omit nuts and vanilla; add few drops of peppermint extract and 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy.
- Omit nuts and add 1 cup shredded coconut.
- Omit nuts and add 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries.
