Tex-Mex Meat Filling
- 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 2 pounds Ground Chuck
- 1/2 containers Pace Picante Sauce, 64 Oz
- 2 cans V-8 Juice, 11.5 Oz Cans
- In a Dutch oven add 2 Tablespoons of cooking oil and heat to brown the meat.
- I use a potato masher to break-up the meat as its cooking.
- Drain the meat and remove the fat.
- Then add the meat back in and pour the picante sauce and V-8 juice into the pot and bring to rolling boil.
- Cook until the moisture is almost all gone and the filling is thick.
- Use as a filling in tacos, sandwiches, etc.
- I have also used ground chicken or turkey meat in place of beef and it works just fine.
