Beth's Old Style Cornbread Dressing Recipe

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. 2 In a small pot, combine onion, celery, margarine and chicken broth.
  3. Bring to boil and cook vegetables till tender.
  4. 3 In a 2-qt casserole dish, combine cornbread, biscuit crumbs, salt, pepper, sausage, minced Large eggs and sage.
  5. Pour broth and vegetables over bread mix, and stir till combined.
  6. 4 Bake dressing for 30-45 min.
  7. NOTES : "This recipe has been handed down in my family for several generations, however this is the first time it has been written with amounts of ingredients rather than a dash of this or possibly a healthy pinch of which.
  8. It was a real feat to get my mom to measure the ingredients before she mixed them all together.
