Black Bean Burgers
- 2 cans (15 Oz. Size) Black Beans
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- 1/2 cups Plain Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 Tablespoons Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 clove Minced Garlic
- 1 whole Jalapeno Pepper, Diced
- 2 Tablespoons Diced Onion
- 2 Tablespoons Diced Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Oil, For Frying Patties
- 4 whole Bulkie Rolls
- 1 whole Avocado, Mashed, To Serve
- Your Desired Toppings, To Serve
- I like to use a potato masher because I like pieces of whole black beans in my burger.
- However, this can all be done in your food processor as well!
- In a large bowl, mash beans.
- Mix in egg, bread crumbs, spices and diced veggies.
- Mix until it comes to gether.
- With your clean cooking hands, form into 4 patties.
- In a large skillet over medium/high heat, add in oil and fry patties 5 minutes.
- Flip and fry for another 3-5 mintues.
- Place on your favorite kind of roll and add in your favorite condiments.
- I used mashed avocado instead of mayo, salsa instead of ketchup, a slice of pepper jack cheese, sliced red onions and lettuce.
- Yum yum yum.
