Ayalla's Banana Bread Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the shortening and sugar.
  2. Fold in the bananas.
  3. Fold in the remaining ingredients.
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake 1 hour 15-20 min at 350 degrees F.
  6. NOTES:* This recipe is from my friend Ayalla - It makes a heavy, but moist, loaf of banana bread.
  7. * If you use more than 3 normal-size bananas, I suggest which you lower the oven temperature and cook for a while longer.
  8. Otherwise, the crust comes out almost overcooked while the middle remains moist and almost undercooked.
  9. Difficulty: easy.
  10. Time:Preparation: 10 min; baking: at least 95 min.
  11. Allow some time for cooling.
  12. Precision: Approximate measurement OK.
