- 12 cup maple syrup

- 12 cup raisins
- 12 cup dried blueberries
- 14 cup dates (optional, chopped)
- Mix dry ingredients oats, bran, sunflower seeds, and all nuts.
- Simmer oil, syrup, and honey (to thin).
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Pour over oats, bran, sunflower seeds, and nuts.
- Mix well and spread on cookie sheet.
- Bake for 19-21 min at 325F, stirring twice (Every 7 minutes stir to make sure the granola on the bottom of the pan doesnt get crisp or cooked longer than the rest).
- Take out of oven and mix in desired other ingredients (dried apples, raisins, etc).
- I also make sure to take it OFF the cookie sheets as soon as I take it out of the oven so it doesnt get too crispy.
- Cool and store in airtight container.
- Approximate cost per batch is $6.50.
- While I only list the dates as optional, in many ways, almost all of the ingredients are optional.
- Mix different nuts (or quantities) to your taste.
- You can also just use one type of raisin if you like.
- Chop nuts and cut dried apples to the size you like experiment with this recipe Ive learned that you can vary it each time for a little different taste as well.
