Groundnut Stew

  1. Clean the chickens and place in a deep saucepan with the water.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the peanuts and stir well.
  4. Add the onions, sweet potatoes, and salt.
  5. Cook for 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken is tender.
  6. Correct seasoning.
  7. Place a whole egg on each plate and cover with some of the rice.
  8. Place the chicken and sauce on top.
  9. Serve with side dishes of sliced cucumbers, chutney, and sliced bananas.
