Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  3. Drain.
  4. Melt 1/4 cup butter in 3-quart saucepan until sizzling; stir in flour.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 1 minute or until smooth and bubbly.
  6. Add half & half, cream cheese, mustard, salt and pepper.
  7. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 3-4 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
  8. Stir in cooked macaroni and American.
  9. Spoon into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
  10. Stir together all crumb topping ingredients in bowl; sprinkle over macaroni mixture.
  11. Bake 15-20 minutes or until heated through and golden brown.
