Cranberry Apple Crisp
- 1 bag (12) fresh
- frozen cranberries
- 3 lg. apples sliced thin, tart apples like granny smith are best. Peaches also work.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups plain dry oatmeal
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1-1/4 stick (10) butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Greese or butter the bottom and corners of a 13" by 9" pan.
- Combine fruit and white sugar, mix briefly to coat, spread into pan.
- Combine flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, and seasonings, mixing to break up brown sugar lumps.
- Add melted butter last and mix well.
- Loosen mixture with a fork and crumble over top of the fruit, press down gently when the whole surface is covered.
- Bake about 45 min, fruit juices should bubble, oatmeal should be crisp.
