Apple Cider Pound Cake Recipe

  1. CAKE: Soften butter and shortening.
  2. Add in sugar.
  3. Beat 10 min with mixer at medium speed.
  4. Add in Large eggs, one at a time.
  5. Add in other ingredients.
  6. Beat well.
  7. Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 325 for 90 min.
  8. CARAMEL GLAZE: Combine all ingredients and boil for 10 min.
  9. Drizzle over hot cake.
  10. Note: If wellcovered, cake will stay moist for many days.
  11. This is a large cake and makes too much batter for a bundt pan.
  12. A winner at the Texas State Fair!
