Vegan Roughly-Chopped Soy Bean Hamburger
- 200 grams Soy beans (boiled and roughly chopped)
- 2 Green peppers
- 1/2 Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 piece Ginger
- 1 tbsp Katakuriko
- 4 tbsp Oatmeal (or wheat gluten)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Sage
- 1 tsp Soup stock granules
- 3 tbsp Ketchup
- 3 tbsp Japanese-style Worcestershire Sauce
- Roughly chop the boiled soy beans, and finely mince the ingredients.
- If using a food processor, only use it in short bursts, taking care not to turn the soy beans into a paste.
- Combine the ingredients with Step 1 and form into paddies.
- Cook in a frying pan coated with a thin layer of olive oil.
- Cover with a lid and cook each side for 4 minutes.
- Do not touch them until they've browned.
- In the same frying pan, add the ketchup and Japanese-style Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix together and lightly heat, taking care not to burn it.
- Pour over the hamburger.
- Try eating this a la hamburger style with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise between two buns.
- It's really delicious.
