Shredded coconut

  1. Wash the coconuts
  2. Poke a hole in the soft eye with a screw driver and pout the juice out in a jug if keeping.
  3. Put the coconuts on a tray and bake in oven for 400F 205F for 20 minutes.
  4. They will crack open Do not turn oven up or leave any longer.
  5. If don't crack carefully use a hammer and screw driver and cloth, as juice may co e out and burn you.
  6. Cool a little and pull the meat out.
  7. Peel the skin off with a peeler or knife then rinse in cold water
  8. Put small amounts in either food processor or blender and shred.
  9. Turn oven to 200F 93 farenheight and place the coconut on baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake for 1hr.
  10. Cool store in airtight container or in freezer containers and freeze.
  11. Can be used to make coconut macaroons as perfect for them.
