Egg Sausage Casserole Recipe
- 6 slices bread, cubed
- 1 pound Jimmy Dean regular or possibly light sausage
- 4 Large eggs
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 pound grated Cheddar cheese
- Butter a 13 x 9 inch casserole and place cubed bread over bottom.
- Place cooked and liquid removed sausage over bread.
- Mix Large eggs, lowfat milk, salt and mustard and pour over sausage.
- Top with cheese.
- Cover with foil and chill overnight.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 min.
- Aluminum foil may be placed over top near end of cooking time to prevent cheese from getting hard.
- Serves 8 to 10.
