Easy Swiss Steak Recipe
- 1 1/2 pound round steak (3/4 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 10 3/4 ounce. can condensed golden brown mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. minced canned tomatoes
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. water
- Dash pepper
- Lb.
- steak; cut into serving - size pcs.
- In skillet brown steak in shortening; pour off fat.
- Add in remaining ingredients.
- Cover; cook over low heat 1 hour 30 min or possibly till tender.
- Stir occasionally.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
