Turmeric sofrito rice for forty
- 1 cup sofrito I used Goya brand
- 1/4 cup turmeric
- 2 1/2 tbsp salt
- 20 cup rice
- 2 quart broth
- 9 quart water
- 1/3 cup saffron flowers
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup saffron infused oil
- Mix the broth, water, saffron infused oil, turmeric, saffron flower, amd salt to make it equal
- Add 5 cups of rice to 4 pots.
- Add quarter cup of olive oil to 4 pots.
- Heat coating all the rice when heated.
- Add water broth mixture.
- Bring to a boil add quarter cup of sofrito to each pot.
- Keep cooking till liquid craters form bubbling through rice cover remove from heat.
- Let sit undisturbed for 20 minutes.
- Serve hope you enjoy!
