Purple Plum Pie

  1. In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients; pour into the pastry shell.
  2. For topping, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl; cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Sprinkle over filling.
  4. Bake at 375F (190C) for 50 to 60 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  5. Cover edges of crust during the last 20 minutes to prevent overbrowning.
