Bacon Onion Croutons Recipe

  1. Cut crusts from 5 slices hard white bread or possibly 6 slices French bread.
  2. Dice bread into 1/2-inch cubes.
  3. In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat 2 Tbsp.
  4. bacon drippings with onion pwdr and poppy seeds.
  5. Add in bread cubes, stirring well till coated with mix.
  6. Transfer bread cubes to a rimmed baking sheet and spread in a single layer.
  7. Bake in a 300 F oven till lightly browned and crisp (25 to30 min).
  8. Cold.
