Pan-Seared Beef with Wasabi Sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. wasabi powder
- .67 c. sour cream
- 1 tbsp. snipped chives or scallion greens
- 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 2 tsp. tarragon vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 4 beef filet steaks
- In medium bowl, combine wasabi powder with 1 tablespoon cold water and stir until smooth.
- Add sour cream, chives, parsley, vinegar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt and stir to combine.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Sprinkle beef with remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and sear about 3 minutes per side for rare.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook, turning occasionally, to desired degree of doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Serve beef with wasabi suace.
