Sweet Sour Beef

  1. Heat 2 cups water, and vinegar together until hot.
  2. Place meat in crock covered with vinegar and water.
  3. Add salt, parsley, pepper, sugar, and onion.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 3 days, turning daily.
  5. Drain marinade and reserve.
  6. Lightly flour meat.
  7. Brown well in butter in kettle.
  8. Add onion slices and 3 cups marinade.
  9. Cover and simmer until tender.
  10. Remove meat to a hot serving dish and keep warm.
  11. Skim fat off liquid.
  12. Mix flour and water and stir into pan.
  13. Add stock.
