Snickers Pie-Part 1
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter, unsalted melted
- 6 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), cut into 8 pieces
- 4 ounces chocolate (semi-sweet) semi-sweet, chopped
- 1 ounce chocolate unsweetened chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 each eggs large
- 1 each egg yolks large
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups snickers bars about 8.5 bars, (cut into 1/2inch pieces)
- 10 ounces cream cheese room temp.
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 each eggs large
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ounces milk chocolate melted
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- FOR CRUST: Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 350 deg.
- Butter 9-inch-diameter deep-dish glass pie dish.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar in medium bowl.
- Add melted butter and stir until well incorporated.
- Press graham mixture evenly into bottom and up sides of prepared dish.
- Bake until crust is set, about 5 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
- Maintain oven temperature.
- FOR FUDGE LAYER: Sift flour, baking powder and salt into medium bowl.
- Combine butter semisweet chocolate and unsweetened chocolate in top of double boiler set over simmering water.
- Stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from over water and cool slightly.
- Using a medium bowl, beat in egg yolk until slightly thickened, about 1 min.
- Add vanilla and cooled chocolate mixture and mix until well blended.
- Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
- For Cream Cheese Layer:
- Mix all ingredients until well blended.
- Pour into crust.
- Return to oven for about 30 min.
- or until set.
- Remove and cool.
- Top with fudge layer and allow to set in the fridge.
