Breakfast Sausage Balls

  1. Break up bread in orange juice and maple syrup.
  2. Add egg and mix thoroughly.
  3. Blend in remaining ingredients.
  4. Make into small sausage balls about 1 inch in diameter or into patties.
  5. Fry slowly in a skillet or griddle over medium heat until browned.
  6. May be served as an hors d'oeuvre or accompaniment to macaroni for a family supper.
  7. Can be made ahead and frozen after cooking.
  8. Reheat in a warm oven before serving.
