Espresso Granita with Crema

  1. In a saucepan, bring the sugar, water, vanilla and orange rind to a boil.
  2. Take off the heat and stir in the espresso.
  3. Strain into a shallow pan and freeze overnight until solid.
  4. Scrape and place in an ice cold bowl.
  5. Garnish with whipped cream and orange rind.
