Chicken Steak with Avocado Sauce
- 1 Chicken breast
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Katakuriko
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 dash Salt
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp Honey (or sugar)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 Avocado
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- Cut the chicken breast in half.
- Marinate in the sake and salt.
- Wipe the excess moisture from the chicken.
- Coat with katakuriko.
- Heat a frying pan and spread olive oil (not listed on the ingredient list) in the pan.
- Cook the skin side first.
- Cover with a lid.
- Cook both sides until golden brown.
- While frying the chicken, combine the soy sauce, honey, and mirin to make sauce 1.
- Mash the avocado and add a small amount of salt.
- When the chicken is cooked, add sauce 1 to the pan to coat the chicken with the sauce.
- Cut the chicken and serve on a plate.
- Serve with avocado and top with black pepper.
- I served rice and salad on the same plate to make a one-dish meal.
