Karens Macaroni and Cheese with Smoked Sausage
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- Pepper To Taste
- 2 cups Medium To Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Or More To Taste
- 2 cups Uncooked Macaroni
- 4 cups Milk
- 1 package (about 14 To 16 Oz.) Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage Ring
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Place butter in a 9x13 pan and put it into the oven to melt while preheating.
- While butter is melting, grate one 8-ounce block of cheddar cheese.
- Take the butter out and add salt and pepper.
- Add the macaroni and stir to coat.
- Add most of the cheese, reserving some for the top.
- Pour in the milk and stir.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.
- Place the smoked sausage on top of the macaroni and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 more minutes or until cooked through.
