Karens Macaroni and Cheese with Smoked Sausage

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place butter in a 9x13 pan and put it into the oven to melt while preheating.
  3. While butter is melting, grate one 8-ounce block of cheddar cheese.
  4. Take the butter out and add salt and pepper.
  5. Add the macaroni and stir to coat.
  6. Add most of the cheese, reserving some for the top.
  7. Pour in the milk and stir.
  8. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
  9. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.
  10. Place the smoked sausage on top of the macaroni and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 more minutes or until cooked through.
  11. Enjoy!
