Blt Soup Recipe

  1. Garnish: bacon crumbles, cherry tomato slices and croutons
  2. Preparation Instructions: In a large stockpot, saute/fry bacon till lightly brown.
  3. Don't drain the fat.
  4. Add in butter and heat.
  5. Stir in lettuce and saute/fry for 2 min.
  6. Add in flour mixing well and saute/fry for 2 - 3 min.
  7. Remove from heat and slowly stir in warm water, chicken and ham bouillon cubes, tomatoes, nutmeg and cayenne popper.
  8. Heat to boiling.
  9. Reduce heat and simmer for 6 - 8 min, stirring occasionally.
  10. Add in half and half and heat to simmering.
  11. Garnish and serve.
