Devilish Chocolate Caramel Cake
- 1 (18 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
- 23 cup evaporated milk, divided
- 12 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 (12 ounce) jar caramel ice cream topping
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts (optional) or 1 cup other nuts (optional)
- preheat oven to 350 and grease 9x13 in pan.
- beat cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk with electric mixer.
- if desired, mix in nuts or extra chocolate chips.
- press half the batter into pan and bake for 10-15 minutes until set.
- Remove from oven.
- Stir together caramel topping, 1/3 cup of evaporated milk and flour.
- Pour mixture over cake and top with 1 cup of the choc chips.
- top with remaining batter and another cup of chocolate chips.
- Bake 20-30 minutes until crusty.
