Miso Spaghetti with Asparagus and Ground Pork

  1. Mix the ingredients together and set aside.
  2. Cut off the hard ends of the asparagus and slice diagonally into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Group the tips away from the rest of the asparagus pieces.
  4. Begin boiling the spaghetti in plenty of salted boiling water.
  5. Add sesame oil to a frying pan and heat over medium-low.
  6. Stir fry the ginger until fragrant.
  7. Add the ground pork and onion and stir fry until the meat is cooked through.
  8. Add the mixed ingredients to the pan and mix to coat everything with the seasoning.
  9. Remove about 5 tablespoons of the boiling water from the pasta pot and add it to the pan.
  10. 2-3 minutes before the spaghetti is done, add the asparagus stalks to the boiling spaghetti water.
  11. Throw in the asparagus tips a bit after that.
  12. Quickly strain the cooked spaghetti and asparagus and add them to the frying pan from Step 4.
  13. Toss to combine everything.
  14. All done.
