Creamed Chip Beef Recipe
- 15 ounce. jar minced dry beef
- 2 tbsp. butter, melted
- 4 1/2 c. lowfat milk, divided
- 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon beef flavored bouillon granules
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 8 frzn pastry shells, baked
- Saute/fry beef in butter in a large skillet 1 to 2 min.
- Stir in 3 1/2 c. flour, simmer 3 min, stirring often.
- Combine remaining flour and bouillon cubes or possibly granules in a small bowl.
- Gradually stir in remaining 1 c. lowfat milk.
- Gradually stir flour mix into beef mix.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in salt and pepper.
- Spoon mix into baked pastry shells.
- Yield: 8 servings.
- Toasted bread could be used in place of pastry shells.
