Lower Fat Brownies

  1. PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. COMBINE granulated sugar, oil, applesauce, baking soda, and water in large bowl.
  3. Stir in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa; stir egg mixture into flour.
  5. Spread into prepared baking pan.
  6. BAKE for 18 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky.
  7. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  9. Cut into bars.
