Korean Grilled Beef Skewers
- 1 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak
- 3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 12 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Place steak in freezer 20 minutes.
- Cut steak lengthwise into 1/4 inch-thick strips.
- Mix remaining ingredients in small bowl.
- Place meat in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish.
- Add marinade; turn to coat well.
- Refrigerate 30 minutes.
- Remove steak from marinade.
- Discard any remaining marinade.
- Thread steak in zig-zag fashion onto skewers.
- Broil or grill over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until desired doneness.
