Sweet Potato Pork Rolls
- 2 Sweet potatoes
- 20 Thinly sliced pork
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp White sesame seeds
- Wash the sweet potatoes and wrap with cling film to microwave for 3-4 minutes at 600 W. The sweet potatoes do not need to cook through.
- Cut the sweet potato into 4 to 5 cm sticks, to make 20 sticks in total.
- Roll up each sweet potato with a slice of pork.
- Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil.
- Place the Step 3 rolled pork on the pan with the rolled edges on the bottom.
- Stir fry on high heat to brown.
- When the pork has browned, turn down the heat to low, then pour in the sake.
- Cover with a lid to steam for 3 minutes until the sweet potato has softened.
- Crank up the heat to high.
- Pour the soy sauce and mirin and coat the sauce by rolling the pork in it.
- When the sauce has mostly evaporated, sprinkle the sesame seeds and it is done.
